What is Art, Really?

If you draw, paint, write or any other number of creative activities and haven’t kept quiet about it, you’ve likely been called an “artist” at least once.

But what is art? Is the toilet display (Fountain Duchamp) featured in various art museums really art?

You tell me. Isn’t art anything that holds meaning for the artist and/or viewer? What if it only hold meaning for the artist? Is it still art, in that case?

Perhaps a bit philosophical this week, but I want to hear your opinions!

  1. I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog.
Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?
Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare
to see a nice blog like this one nowadays.
